Years in the making
Not drawn from memory. Traced from stone.
01 - The specimen
A specific documented Green River Formation specimen. Not a cast, not a reconstruction, not a reference photo. The actual animal preserved in actual rock, 52 million years old.
02 - The tracing
Archival mylar film laid directly over the fossil. Every visible bone traced by hand with archival India ink — the same technique used in scientific paleontological illustration.
03 - Digitized and printed
Tracing scanned, digitized, colorized, and produced as waterproof UV-resistant die-cut vinyl. Each sticker carries the species name, formation, and geological age.
28 species. One ancient lake.
52 million years ago, a fish made a fatal mistake.
A Mioplosus tried to swallow a Knightia headfirst. It was too big. Both fish are preserved exactly as it happened — mid-moment, in limestone, forever. Paleontologists call this an aspiration. We traced every bone of both animals and turned it into a sticker. Because some stories are 52 million years old and still worth telling.

Formation: Green River Formation, Wyoming
Age: Eocene · 51.98 million years ago
Why it matters: One of the rarest fossil types — behavioral preservation. Not just an animal, but a moment.
The design: Both animals hand traced from the actual specimen using archival mylar and India ink
Why this collection is unlike any other.
10 years in the Green River Formation
A decade of field seasons in Wyoming's most celebrated fossil deposit. Every species in this collection was learned firsthand — not from a book, not from a database, from the rock itself.
Scientific illustration methodology
Archival mylar and India ink tracing is the same technique used by professional paleontological illustrators. It is slower, more demanding, and produces results that digital shortcuts cannot replicate.
