Dive into the 52-million year old waters of Southwestern Wyoming in the world-renowned Green River Formation. During your journey you will come face to face with aquatic flora and fauna waiting to be discovered by you!

We will meet at 2:00pm on Friday August 14, 2020 at the Visitors Center of Fossil Butte National Monument and view some of the best specimens to ever be recovered from the rocks surrounding the area, including an impressive cast of a 13-foot long crocodile! We will talk with FBNM staff and learn a bit about what we will be looking for during our own experience. Dinner Friday night is included in the trip costs. Alcohol is NOT included, but will be available.

Saturday begins from the lobby of the Best Western at 8:30am, where your tour guide will meet you to take you out to the dig site for the day. You will spend the next 4 hours digging the same layers that countless paleontologists have explored for the last 150-plus years. Lunch will be provided for you in the quarry. Saturday will conclude with a talk from your tour guide who will show incredible finds and share personal stories. After the talk, the team will head to dinner to discuss our discoveries and share stories of the day. Dinner Saturday night is included in the trip costs. Alcohol is NOT included, but will be available.

Sunday morning August 16, 2020 we will check out of the hotel before heading to the quarry to dig until 1:00 pm. Sunday is your last day to search for that fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime find. Lunch will be provided. We will depart from the quarry about 2:00 pm and your hands will be full of exceptional specimens that YOU collected*!

*Rare species or those deemed scientifically significant must stay with the quarry. There may be opportunity to purchase rare finds from the quarry owner.
