Packed in these vials are 3 layers of dirt

The top is the youngest and represents the geologic time known as the Paleogene (Formerly the Tertiary) no dinosaurs are found in these layers!

The middle layer is a layer identified as an extinction event on Earth caused by a massive asteroid strike, most likely the meteorite that struck in the what is now the Gulf of Mexico called the Chicxulub Crater.

The bottom layer is from the Cretaceous era and is a world famous location for dinosaur fossils being found!

The dirt that forms each of these layers is from the World famous Hell Creek Formation. Each vial comes with an information card for display.
